Signature Recruitment are proud to present an exciting opportunity to join our client, a prestigious London University as an Operations Officer. This is a hybrid role and on a full-time temporary basis. The role will support the departments education programmes and ensuring efficient administrative processes are in place.

The Operations Officer requires flexibility, the ability to prioritise effectively and be a proactive member of the team. The post-holder will providing operational leadership and support across education related administrative processes in a diverse academic environment.. Knowledge of the academic lifecycle and Higher Education polices, processes and systems is also ideal. If you have previous experience in a HE setting then this could be an excellent next step for you!

Operations Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for Postgraduate students and academics with research queries
  • Support Postgraduate research students during student recruitment, induction and assessment
  • Promote and develop education and training initiatives within the School
  • Provide excellent customer service and pastoral support to improve the student experience across the Faculty
  • Support the planning and organisation of events and projects
  • Support with the Financial management of the educational programes
  • Project manage and support education and training initiatives within the School, as well as promoting these programmes
  • Promote initiatives that encourage Student Welfare
  • Build strong working relationships with School staff, students and key partners within and beyond the university
  • Ensure correct University procedure is adhered to in relation to education and training initiatives

Operations Officer Key Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with staff and engaging students
  • Experience of using a Virtual Learning Environment such as Moodle to deliver programmes/modules
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work
  • Previous programme support experience in the Higher Education sector
  • Knowledge of policy and procedures within Higher Education sector
  • Highly numerate with proven financial management
  • Experience of using complex databases and management information systems
  • Experience of stakeholder management, ability to work with a broad range of stakeholders in a professional and assured manner
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment with a knowledge of how to address complaints and service setbacks in a professional and efficient manner
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills including the ability to draft emails, documents and correspondence autonomously to a broad range of audiences
