A temporary Accommodation Helpdesk Advisor is required to join a busy team in Central Bristol starting ASAP. The Accommodation Helpdesk Advisor is a very important role, helping students to navigate through their arrival into student accommodation by providing first class service and support via telephone and occasional emails.

You will be:

  • Respond to inbound phone calls and emails regarding any arrival/facilities issues and liaise with maintenance teams, security and property managers
  • Respond to emergency phone calls and liaise with emergency services to arrange a prompt response through to solution
  • Action and problem solve emergency maintenance issues
  • Organise planned maintenance works via phone and email to buildings as required, e.g. replacing shower heads
  • Log details of all communication on internal system
  • Chase and log outstanding health and safety paperwork checks
  • Adhoc administrative duties as required

Due to the nature of some of the calls that you will be responding to, you will enjoy this job if you can remain calm under pressure and emotionally detached (empathetic rather than sympathetic).

This team operate and are available 24-7; as such you will be assigned shifts. You will be working 4 shifts on/4 shifts off, and these contract assignments are available on an 8 week and 12 week basis.

The rate of pay is £8.75 per hour plus holiday pay (£9.52 total) and there is potential for this to become a permanent position in the future for the right candidates.
