An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our client, an excellent and well-known University that has a fantastic location in central London on a temporary capacity. The successful Administrative Assistant will gain invaluable experience whilst providing all round administrative support to a busy Team, contributing to the operation of the Department.

Ideally, the candidate will have previous administrative experience gained in the higher education sector, strong IT skills and knowledge of SharePoint. Administrative Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the organisation and delivery of events, such as liaising with suppliers, arranging event schedules, risk assessments, etc.
  • Oversee and manage an electronic diary, taking the initiative to plan, set up and accept appointments and bookings
  • Monitoring and processing expenses
  • Manage travel arrangements, including flights, hotels and conference bookings, in the UK and abroad
  • Raising POs, arranging quotes and purchasing merchandise
  • Maintaining and updating the website and social media platforms
  • Maintaining and updating SharePoint
  • Undertake ad hoc administrative duties when required

Administrative Assistant Skills and Experiences

  • A minimum of 2-3 years administration experience
  • Previous experience working in a higher education environment
  • Experience with the planning and delivery of events
  • Strong IT skills, especially MS Word and Excel
  • Previous experience and knowledge of SharePoint is desirable
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail
