Our client, a top London University, is looking for a Higher Education Administrator to start with them immediately. The role is to assist the programmes team in administering the planning and delivery of all operational aspects of the examinations, and for supporting the team in identifying, planning and implementing opportunities for improvement of existing administrative mechanisms.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills. The Higher Education Administrator will also have excellent organisational skills and will be extremely proficient in the use of Excel, with confidence in Vlookups and Pivot tables. Higher Education Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all operational aspects of the examination and assessment processes including booking and identifying examination space.
  • Update information on the Virtual Learning Environment, taking ownership of the relevant pages.
  • Support the arrangement and administration of examinations on multiple sites, including collating documentation, recording and communicating relevant information and ensuring the integrity of the examinations.
  • Plan the schedule for assessments and related meetings, ensuring that all dates are finalised before the beginning of the academic year.
  • Support the production of examination and related materials, ensuring that they comply with FEO quality standards.
  • Contribute to the recruitment, processing and approval of external examiners.
  • Organise clinical placements, where applicable, planning and allocating appropriate placements for students, taking into account the capacity of providers.

Higher Education Administrator Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in Excel including Vlookups and Pivot table functions
  • Three or more years of administrative experience
  • Experience within an autonomous administrative role to be able to manage a varied workload
  • Previous experience within the HE sector is highly desirable
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and good communication skills to be able to liaise with various internal and external Stakeholders
