A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Assistant Duty Manager to join our client, a prestigious School within the North West London area on a full time, permanent basis. The purpose of this challenging position is to assist the Manager with the development and maintenance of timetables, duty rotas and exam schedules within a fast-paced environment.

The ideal applicant will have previous experience with scheduling and/or timetabling and using a variety of computer softwares, including a strong knowledge of MS Excel alongside with excellent communication skills. If you are enthusiastic about solving analytical problems and/or puzzles, able to use own initiative and you can work effectively under pressure, then this might be the perfect opportunity, apply today!

Assistant Duty Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Manager with timetabling, whilst accounting for a number of variables such as annual leave, room availability etc.
  • Supporting the Deputy Head with scheduling cover lessons in case of absences
  • Assisting the Manager with the maintenance of Staff Duty Rota
  • Providing support to the Exams Officer for example to create exam schedules, line manage the invigilators, etc.
  • Ensuring excellent communication is delivered throughout the school as required
  • Ensuring accurate recordkeeping managing and maintaining the database
  • Providing additional ad hoc administrative support when required

Assistant Duty Manager Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to a degree level
  • An enthusiasm for and ability to solve analytical problems is essential
  • Previous experience with timetabling on a large scale
  • Previous experience using a variety of softwares
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, specifically MS Excel (knowledge of formulas) is essential
  • Strong ability to use own initiative
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure towards tight deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience working within the education sector is desirable
