We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join a construction firm in Leeds. This role requires supporting the business development department in the Northern region by managing the tendering process of projects, marketing and contract pricing in a variety of different sectors. These including education, retail, industrial and other specialist areas. The ideal candidate will have had prior experience in a similar role, be attentive to detail, and possess the required confidence to fulfil a role of this level.

Key duties:

  • Managing the tendering process for contracts and projects
  • Involvement in the formation and development of pre-qualification submission documents and tender
  • Supporting business development through an array of tasks related to contract pricing, marketing and tendering
  • Contributing support to the department in the creation of pricing documents, completion of PQQ’s, tender issued templates and creation of client specific tender proposals
  • Attending client meetings and carrying out presentations
  • Managing relationships with key clients and building new client relationships
  • Balancing the need for quality and profit

Core qualities and experience:

  • Experience within sales/business development sector
  • Experience in delivering maintenance services in the public sector
  • Experience preparing and presenting impressive bids and tenders
  • Ability to work on own initiative
