An excellent opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and friendly individual to join our client, a leading transportation company as a Customer Relations Administrator working in their head office joining a team of 10. This is an ongoing role and would suit someone who is interested in a career with the rail industry and wants to get their foot in the door with a great rail company who regularly win awards for customer service and satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have proven previous customer service experience, have a calm and patient nature as this role involves dealing upset customers so someone who is empathetic and understanding is essential! If you are friendly, able to work within a fast paced environment, and enjoy working with people, then this could be the perfect role for you!

Customer Relations Administrator Key Responsibilities

  • Responding to telephone calls, written correspondence and emails to resolve customer enquiries and complaints
  • Responding to Social Media messages by addressing customer questions, complaints or feedback
  • Provide customers with an after sales service for all tickets sold through all channels including smartcards to encourage repeat business
  • Undertake all supplementary services provided by the team including travel booking, lost property, refunds
  • Assisting with delay repay claims and processing unused ticket refunds
  • Liaising with the wider organisation to keep customers informed of service updates and news about the company
  • Periodic weekend on-call duties and during bank weekends
  • Must comply with all health and safety regulations laid out by management

Customer Relations Administrator Skills and Experience

  • Previous call centre experience
  • Previous experience resolving customer queries and complaints
  • Great technical aptitude
  • Strong administrative experience
  • Ability to systematically follow instructions and work across a multitude of systems and processes
  • Willingness to be flexible regarding hours worked
  • Able to multi-task and prioritise talk appropriately
