A fantastic opportunity has become available for a HR / Recruitment Assistant to join our client, a prestigious Academy within the North West London area on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful applicant will provide comprehensive, professional and confidential HR recruitment support to staff and management at the Academy whilst acting as a first point of contact for staff on recruitment queries.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with recruitment, has a knowledge and understanding of GDPR and MS Office. If you have excellent interpersonal and organisation skills and are able to maintain accuracy to a high standard, then this can be the perfect opportunity for you.

HR / Recruitment Assistant Key Responsibilities

  • Creating and updating job advertisements for internal and external vacancies, ensuring advertisements are populated accordingly
  • Sourcing candidates through online platforms and other methods, screening CVs and applications and update candidates throughout the hiring processes
  • Organising recruitment events and interview schedules, and giving tours to candidates when required
  • Conducting interviews with candidates as applicable, including phone, first-round interviews and assisting line managers on the evaluation of candidates based on their interview performance
  • Carrying out right to work checks for candidates, ensuring all recruitment checks, including full referencing, DBS, medical clearances, list 99is completed for all newly appointed staff
  • Assisting with the preparation of contract of employments and offer letters when required
  • Ensuring files for each new starter containing all the required recruitment documentation is created and maintained
  • Managing the HR email inbox and responding to emails as appropriate
  • Undertaking any other ad hoc duties as requested

HR / Recruitment Assistant Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with recruitment
  • Work in accordance with GDPR guidance
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Good ability to organise and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to maintain accuracy to a high standard
  • Minimum intermediate knowledge of MS Office
