Our client is leading University in Central London seeking an Operations Officer for a temporary role. In this role, you would be providing day-to-day support for the operations of the centre.

The ideal Operations Officer will have strong communications skills and an eye for detail in working across the centre maintaining accuracy. If you are looking for a busy role within the education sector this could be your next opportunity!

Operations Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide efficient operational support to staff and students in the Centre and working closely with the School’s core team to provide local support for research grant applications, post-award management, local staff and student recruitment campaigns, processing claims and invoice
  • To prepare communications, draft presentations, and briefing documents
  • To prepare and support meetings, boards, and committees, including the distribution of papers and taking notes or minutes
  • To support the planning and organisation of events and projects
  • Support the academic activities as required, such as diary management, meeting coordination, reception support, assisting visitors, managing room bookings – including organising audio visual equipment, catering and confirmation of arrangements to participants and security
  • Support with day-to-day financial matters, such as purchase orders, expenses, invoices and providing budget reports as requested
  • Identify, report and resolve building-related problems, working closely with the School Technical Manager
  • Working with the Senior Operations Officer to provide support for staff, including costing grants, supporting post-award processes, on-going management and reporting for grants

Operations Officer Key Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in the Higher Education sector is desirable
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with website content management
  • Strong skills in data entry
  • Good organisation with the ability to prioritise tasks
