We have an excellent opportunity for a temporary Programme Administrator to join our client, a prestigious ­­­University based in the Central London area. As a member of this professional team, you will provide full administration support to various areas across a large department. The period of appointment would be a fixed-term maternity cover.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised and proactive, performing general administration duties and providing comprehensive support to Programme Directors and key figures of staff. If you are in possession of outstanding communication skills and are able to work efficiently to deadlines independently and as part of a team, this could be the position for you!

Programme Administrator Key Responsibilities

  • Working as part of a busy team providing assistance and support and information to the programme Directors, module co-ordinators and prospective and existing students
  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the programmes in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Maintaining the departments computer systems daily
  • Organising and attend programme Open Days
  • Monitoring student attendance and lecture evaluations, and other accurate records of student, staff and module data
  • Analysing student data for purpose of quality assurance and other reviews at Departmental, Division and School level
  • Using plagiarism software to check student assignments
  • Managing the programme budget, calculate spending forecasts; maintain stationery stocks and make orders on a regular basis
  • Maintaining course handbooks, website development and updates
  • Arranging payment of external speakers, in liaison with the Programme Leaders
  • Coordinating payments for research dissertation expenses
  • Serving as the first point of contact for programme related enquiries and effectively respond and deal with them via email, telephone, post and in person
  • Assisting with the programme requirements such as: booking rooms, production of programme documentation and manage the student timetabling process
  • Ensuring College regulatory requirements are met

Programme Administrator Essential Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience working within the Higher Education sector
  • High proficiency when using Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and excellent general IT skills
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Able to be responsible for and prioritise effectively your own workload, and work to deadlines
