We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Programmes Officer to join our client, a prestigious ­­­University based in the London area. As a member of this professional team, you will provide full administration support to various areas across a large department.

Reporting to the School Education Manager, the incumbent will be highly organised and proactive, performing general administration duties and providing comprehensive support to Programme Directors and key figures of Staff. If you are in possession of outstanding communication skills and are able to work efficiently to deadlines independently and as part of a team, this could be the position for you!

Programme Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • To proactively support the administration of programmes in the School at both UG and PGT level, including Study Abroad programme activities where applicable
  • To act as the first point of contact and provide comprehensive advice to staff and students on all aspects relating to assigned undergraduate and postgraduate taught programmes
  • To take an active role in the provision of an excellent student experience through eliciting student feedback and supporting the implementation of innovations in the School’s programmes
  • Preparing materials and documentation in collaboration with Registry Services, drafting the agenda, taking meeting minutes and ensuring action points are followed up
  • To provide a professional support service to the Programme Directors and academic staff
  • Undertake any additional duties that may reasonably be required by the School Education Manager or Head of School Administration

Programme Officer Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Educated to A-level or equivalent (relevant degree or further qualification desirable)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience in an office setting, experience in Higher Education sector preferred
  • High proficiency when using Microsoft Office programmes such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent general IT skills including e-learning platforms, such as Moodle
  • Experience in database management (SITS database preferred) and data entry
  • Proactive approach and positive attitude
  • Ability to deal with a wide variety of people in a professional and assured manner
  • Ability to comprehend complex situations quickly
  • Accuracy and a methodical approach to work
  • Ability to balance competing priorities under pressure of deadlines and workload
