Our client, a manufacturing company in the Temple Meads area, are currently looking for a purchase ledger assistant to join their busy finance team. This person will need to have experience of working as a purchase ledger previously in order to insure the smooth running of the department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Using Excel to resolve queries and record information in regards to invoices, ensuring that these are overseen and dealt with in a timely manner
  • Sending out invoices on a weekly basis and cross checking invoice codes to branches. Ensuring that sent invoices are authorised to meet payment terms
  • Manning the email account for the department
  • Dealing with any telephone and email queries for the department
  • Ad hoc duties when required
  • Matching invoices

Personal skills/requirements

  • A firm understanding of Purchase Ledger and the role
  • Intermediate Excel ability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good with numbers
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Confident and professional telephone manner
  • Proactive approach to work
  • A team player

Hours of work are 08:00 to 17:00. Parking is available.
