An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join our client, a renowned London University, as a Student Engagement Officer working between their two busy campus’ on a temporary basis. Our client is seeking an experienced person’s to provide seamless and professional support to the Faculty of Mathematics and Physical Sciences.

Our new Student Engagement Officer will have the ability to record, create and monitor databases at a University level, including maintaining clear and functional records of staff and students. A key element of this role is administering compliance legislations and student monitoring policies, in addition to providing advice to staff and students on compliance processes within this leading organisation.

Student Engagement Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Running of regular reports from their systems to ensure all compliance policies are always maintained
  • Create and monitor records or student attendance at mandatory lecture, workshops and tutorials
  • Work with staff to obtain a complete and accurate report for students, alerting the appropriate staff where risks are apparent
  • Liaise with personal tutors to obtain records of student meetings
  • Run the algorithm needed to generate a random student list to be used by staff for conducting spot checks where appropriate
  • Attending training events when required to maintain and update knowledge of relevant policies
  • Review and update departmental processes and procedures in light of changes in regulations to ensure compliance

Student Engagement Administrator Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous employment experience in the higher education sector
  • Ability to extract, collate and present records clearly, and efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence liaising with staff and engaging students
  • Previous experience handling complex records and ensuring these are accurately monitored
  • Confidence speaking in front of large groups of people, staff and students alike
