Signature Recruitment is currently accepting applications for an experienced Admissions Coordinator to join our client, a London University with a world-class reputation, on a full time one year contract basis. The successful candidate will work as part of an Admissions Team responsible for meeting the University’s targets for the recruitment of high calibre students from the UK and overseas. The candidate would be expected to deliver an operationally excellent process and provide a high level of customer service to prospective students at every stage of the application process.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent attention to detail, experience of front line administration, ideally within the higher education sector and able to communicate clearly and effectively. If you are in possession of outstanding communication skills and can work efficiently to deadlines independently and as part of a team, this could be the position for you!

Admissions Coordinator Key Responsibilities And Duties:

  • Processing a high volume of applications in a busy admissions department, providing an efficient service and a high level of customer care
  • Responding to prospective student enquiries via email, phone and in person; acting as the first point of contact
  • Conducting initial screening of programme applications with reference to the Business School’s criteria and targets
  • Reviewing application forms and communicating with prospective students to follow up on missing data
  • Using in-house application tracking systems to update candidate records
  • Coordinating with the Registry to communicate candidate outcomes and details of formal offers
  • Providing support to senior management and academic staff in the scholarship selection process Maintaining a knowledge of international academic qualifications in order to advise the Selection Committee
  • Arranging student facilities access during the summer through communication with relevant facilities’ teams

Admissions Coordinator Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in a University admissions office or student-facing programme role
  • Experience managing data using student record systems
  • An excellent communicator, able to respond professionally to a wide range of Stakeholders
  • Evidence of working to deadlines in a fast-paced academic environment
  • Keen to take initiative, learn and grow
  • A commitment to fair admissions practice
