Job Description

Are you a dynamic professional with a flair for managing complex tasks within the higher education sector? Do you excel in organising data, monitoring budgets, and supporting academic excellence through meticulous administration? Signature Recruitment is excited to partner with a renowned institution in London for the recruitment of an Interim CDT (Centre for Doctoral Training) Centre Manager. This temporary, full-time role offers a hybrid working arrangement, requiring 2-3 days in the office per week.

This role is focused on supporting admissions, student communications, event management, and financial oversight within the Centre. The CDT Centre Manager is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the Centre, encompassing a broad spectrum of responsibilities from managing student admissions and records to overseeing the Centre’s budget and financial reporting. You will be the cornerstone for both the academic and administrative facets of the Centre, providing support to the directors, faculty, and students alike. This position demands a high level of independence, initiative, and flexibility, with a strong emphasis on maintaining quality standards across all areas of work.

Centre Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate admissions processes and maintain active communication with both current and prospective students.
  • Efficiently manage the Centre’s inbox ensuring prompt and professional responses, and handle website maintenance and content design.
  • Coordinate and support the organisation of events, including recruitment, induction, and academic conferences.
  • Oversee financial tracking and reporting, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgets.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support across the CDT, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Act as a primary contact point for the CDT, overseeing staff queries, and fostering relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Centre Manager Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in higher education administration and familiarity with the systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel for managing complex datasets and financial oversight.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks efficiently.

This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual with a passion for education administration. If you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role that allows you to utilise your administrative expertise and make a significant impact, we encourage you to apply.

While we aim to respond to every applicant, the volume of applications may result in delayed communication. If you do not receive a response within a week, your application may not have been successful on this occasion, but we will keep your details for potential future opportunities.
