Job Description

Do you have experience in providing high quality, comprehensive administration assistance within a busy Higher Education setting? Are you a good communicator with exceptional attention to detail? Signature Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a temporary full-time Education Administrator to join our client, a higher education establishment in London.

This is a temporary full-time role with an immediate start for a four-month contract. The position will be onsite until the end of July. Thereafter, the role is offered on a hybrid basis with at least 3 days to be worked on campus.

As an Education Administrator, you will have experience and knowledge of the ‘student lifecycle’. You will provide a high level of service within the Education Office supporting the efficient administration of the undergraduate teaching programme. You will be the first point of contact for staff, students, and other visitors to the Education Office. This will include answering and resolving queries, providing expert advice on teaching policies and processes and escalating information requests when needed confidently and professionally. In addition, you will assist with upcoming Open Days and Admissions processes.

Education Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Working confidently with senior staff and providing excellent general administrative assistance to various Heads of Department
  • Assisting Head of Outreach, supporting outreach events as well as upcoming Open Days and Welfare Weeks
  • Working closely with the Admissions Tutor to provide support and assist with the admissions process and the Examinations Officer in support of the examinations process
  • Organising meetings including booking rooms and refreshments, compiling conference booklets, facilitating during and after meetings and taking minutes where needed
  • Actively managing the set-up and maintenance of the college Virtual Learning Environment for relevant study programmes and updating web pages and blog posts
  • Other ad hoc duties such as managing the shared email account, booking rooms, and purchasing goods as required

Education Administrator Key Skills:

  • Previous experience working in a Higher Education setting is essential
  • Strong communication skills to deal professionally and proficiently with staff and students
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient in IT skills with knowledge of Virtual Learning Software and basic web editing
