Job Description

Do you have experience in providing high quality, financial administrative assistance within a busy Higher Education setting? Are you a confident communicator with exceptional attention to detail? If yes, Signature Recruitment has a fantastic opportunity for a temporary Education Finance Administrator to join a higher education establishment in London.

This is a temporary role offered on either a full or part-time basis with an immediate start for a two-and-a-half-month contract. If the position is full-time, it can be hybrid with at least 3 days to be worked on campus. However, if part-time the candidate would need to work on site.

As an Education Administrator, you will provide a high level of service within a small team of the Education Office. You will support the efficient finance administration which manages NHS funding, student bursaries and budgets. Your key duties will be processing NHS claim forms for students. This will include managing a shared inbox, cross referencing and checking Expense Claim Forms and confidently querying with students as necessary. This will lead to accurately recording data for financial claims and you will be organised, and process driven with a good attention to detail.

Education Finance Administrator Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing NHS student claims accurately
  • Maintaining database and spreadsheet records of financial claims
  • Responding to queries from Finance and other Departmental staff and academics effectively and efficiently
  • Producing Reports of data and statistics as required
  • Assisting with the preparation of paperwork related to GP teaching, including data collection of teaching hours
  • Other ad hoc duties in order to aid the smooth running of the team. This may include attending internal and external meetings as requested

Education Finance Administrator Key Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills so as to deal professionally and proficiently with staff and students
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage a busy workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Process driven with a high level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in IT skills with knowledge of Excel and VLOOKUP desirable
