Job Description

Signature Recruitment have had an excellent opportunity come through as an Employee Relations Advisor / Coordinator that will be with a central London infrastructure company, and be on a full time temporary basis for 3 -5 months.

The successful candidate will have previous ER experience and be able to work efficiently in a fast paced environment, you will also have excellent communication skills and be able to prioritise and organise your workload. This is an immediate start role and you will undertake, support and contribute to a range of initiatives and project work, across Employee Relations. Employee Relations Coordinator / Advisor Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the creation, preparation and amendment of employment policies and managers’ guides, suggesting actions and flagging any issues for attention.
  • Support the creation, preparation and amendment of template letters and other tools as may be necessary, suggesting actions and flagging any issues for attention.
  • Actively suggest and implement internal process improvements that support an efficient and business-focused ER service.
  • Assist in the maintenance of internal ER trackers, ensuring information is accurate, up-to-date and easily accessible -especially in respect of weekly activities.
  • Ensure that ER-related invoices are allocated/updated with all stakeholders in a timely manner, especially those from the Company’s employment law advisors.
  • Answer any questions that come into the ER Policy Inbox.
  • Support HRBPs with notetaking for formal meetings as may be necessary and assisting hearing managers and HRBPs in identifying lessons learned to reduce future risk to the organisation.
  • Proactively undertake/assist project-based activities as may be required e.g. OH tenders, reasonable adjustments process, returners guides, participating in the organisation of upskilling sessions participating in such sessions where needed.
  • Undertaking/liaising with others in respect of creation of management reports e.g. long-term sickness absence, frequency of redundancies etc.
  • Carry out any other ad hoc duties in order to support the smooth running of the ER function.

 Employee Relations Coordinator / Advisor Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Experience of working in a busy ER team .
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, multi-task and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to work accurately with strong attention to detail.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced and high-volume environment, remains calm and works well under pressure.
  • Able to use own initiative and be proactive to the requirements of the position and beyond.
  • Determined, a completer/finisher who finalises all actions despite distractions.
  • Resilient and positive.
  • Ability to deal with issues in a discrete and confidential manner.
