Signature Recruitment is thrilled to partner with a prominent London university in their search for a Facilities Assistant for the Estates & Facilities Department. This temporary, full-time position offers an engaging campus-based role for a one-month assignment.

As Facilities Assistant, you will be at the heart of campus operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of day-to-day activities. From preparing centrally timetabled rooms and managing post room services to performing clerical duties and logistics, your contribution will be crucial. Facilities Assistants are instrumental in delivering high-quality customer service, prioritising the student experience, and supporting the hire of college facilities. This position requires a proactive approach, with a focus on maintaining professional, supportive, and friendly relationships with staff, students, and visitors alike.

Facilities Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Deal with general enquiries from staff, students, and visitors, providing high-quality customer service.
  • Maintain professional relationships with all campus community members.
  • Ensure all duties are completed timely and effectively in accordance with Service Level Agreements.
  • Manage and facilitate the efficient delivery of goods, ensuring accurate completion of all associated paperwork.
  • Prepare and maintain the presentation of centrally timetabled rooms and communal areas, including furniture layout and reporting maintenance needs.
  • Handle mail room duties, including receiving, recording, sorting, and franking outgoing mail promptly.

Facilities Assistant Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a customer-focused role within a busy environment.
  • IT literacy, with a proficiency in using computer systems for task management.
  • A hardworking and reliable nature, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
