Job Description

Do you excel at providing top-notch facilities support and ensuring well-managed spaces for staff and students? Are you looking for a hands-on temporary role on a bustling university campus? Signature Recruitment is partnered with our client, a top London university, in search of a Facilities & Safety Support Officer. This temporary, campus-based position has an immediate start and will run for 6 weeks.

In this crucial role, you’ll be on the move, tackling a variety of tasks. You’ll ensure all Business School spaces are impeccably maintained, ready for daily activities, and responsive to the needs of the university’s academic community. Your duties will range from restocking supplies and ensuring the tidiness and functionality of rooms, to engaging with Health and Safety practices and providing vital feedback to enhance the academic environment.

Facilities & Safety Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily maintenance and restocking of stationery supplies in teaching areas.
  • Regular inspection of communal and teaching spaces, addressing any issues promptly.
  • Participation in health and safety feedback sessions.
  • Sorting and distributing mail, alongside managing courier preparations and deliveries.
  • Regular inspection of general facilities across campuses and reporting maintenance issues.
  • Assisting with AV/ICT equipment checks and liaising with helpdesks to resolve issues.

Facilities & Safety Support Officer Key Skills:

  • Great interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a diverse university community.
  • Strong organisational abilities, with a knack for multitasking and proactive problem-solving.
  • A self-starter with a keen eye for detail and an willingness to handle some physical tasks.
