Job Description

Are you a confident, experienced Personal Assistant looking for a temporary part-time role? Do you have experience in a Higher Education setting? Do you pride yourself on good organisational skills along with strong verbal and written communication?  

If yes, Signature Recruitment is looking for a part-time PA to a Professor in a prestigious Higher Education establishment in London for a 3-month position. This role is suitable for someone with good organisation, and communication to work within a small team. This is a part-time, 3 days-a-week role and is office-based. The ideal candidate will be able to work Monday, Tuesday and Thursday in a busy and challenging academic environment.  A typical day could include scheduling meetings, generally diary management and booking travel. You will also be involved in research tasks like editing papers or preparing grant applications. Other tasks include organising administrative details like updating publications and college profiles, whilst assisting colleagues across the department.

PA Key Responsibilities: 

  • Diary management – both traditional paper diary and Microsoft Outlook
  • Arranging internal and external meetings
  • Preparing PowerPoint presentations for meetings
  • Assisting with complex travel plans, room bookings and catering arrangements
  • Supporting in the preparation of publications including typing, proofreading and editing.
  • Other ad-hoc administrative duties as required.

PA Key Skills: 

  • Personal Assistant Experience in a higher educational and medical field – desirable
  • Good communication skills to liaise with members of the team and external  
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Proficient in IT – in particular Microsoft Suite
