Signature Recruitment is excited to present an opportunity to join our client, a publishing company in the Central London area, as a Personal Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic individual who will provide support the Director and work closely with the administration team.

The ideal candidate will have excellent office based experience and will be a strong communicator and Administrator. Previous experience in supporting a member of senior management would be a bonus. If this sounds like a role that would suit your experience well, then please continue reading!

Personal Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Arrange meetings on behalf of the Director, both internal and external, circulating and setting dates, booking rooms as necessary, preparing and distributing agendas and other Committee papers
  • Record, produce and circulate minutes of meetings in a timely manner including Academic Staff Meetings etc.
  • Gate keep for the Director and minute taking where necessary
  • Organise the Director’s attendance and travel arrangements to conferences and meetings in the UK and abroad
  • Process expenses
  • Manage and respond to all calls, visitors, post and e-mails.
  • Draft, prepare and type letters and documents as required and assist with the production of reports
  • Manage and process annual leave applications and record on a spreadsheet

Personal Assistant Key Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent IT skills in email, spreadsheets, word processing, PowerPoint, databases and the Internet
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage own workload through effective ordering of priorities and display excellent organisational skills.
  • Working with and dealing with senior academic staff
  • Working with minimum supervision and taking responsibility for setting and meeting targets
