Signature Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a Programme Manager to join our client, a leading London University, as a Programme Manager! The successful candidate will maintain and strengthen relationships between the programme and its partners, and deliver high-quality educational support for student placements, practice-learning, and assessments administration.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience line managing a team and will have strong communication skills. You will be effective at making data driven decisions, and able to exercise independent judgement. If you are looking for your next challenging role, then this could be the role for you!

Programme Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and shaping the development of the placements function, proactively promoting a collaborative and supportive service culture.
  • Delivering effective leadership and management for placement and assessments support within the Faculty, working in conjunction with the Senior Programme Manager in setting standards for colleagues who support these functions
  • Supporting the Head of Practice Learning with initiatives to deliver continual enhancements for the student experience
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in a professional and timely manner, with appropriate confidentiality and sensitivity
  • Speaking and meeting with partners to maintain relationships
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders, including academic, professional staff, students, groups and committees across the University when required
  • Supporting oversight of staffing the Student Hub front desk on a rota basis, and undertaking related tasks including, assisting visitors, resolving issues and addressing a range of queries (face-to face, email and telephone)
  • Managing resources on a day-to-day basis to optimise consistent service delivery and resource planning when new courses and modules are in development
  • Supporting colleagues in managing students’ pastoral care needs, ensuring teams are aware of signposting students to relevant services and that processes and policies are kept up to date.
  • Ensure key activities, such as placements allocation and Assessment Boards, are completed in accordance with university timeframes and policies

Programme Manager Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with Stakeholders
  • Organisational and time management skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • IT literacy
  • Experience with student record databases (SITS)
  • Proven experience leading and managing a team
