Job Description

Do you have a good administrative skill with knowledge of Finance and HR tasks? Are you driven with good time management and communication skills? Are you an approachable, proactive team player? If yes, Signature Recruitment is looking for a Senior Business Support Officer to join our client, a prestigious Higher Education establishment in London.  This is a full-time role with an immediate start for a three-month contract with the possibility of an extension. It is a hybrid role with two days on campus (one being Tuesday) and three based at home.

Day to day duties will include general administrative assistance, including financial tasks and HR administration.

Senior Business Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Business Managers in financial processing including purchasing, invoicing, expense claims and asset management
  • Actively manage the financial processing to ensure its compliance with College financial policies and regulations
  • Actively manage HR processes including recruitment, preparing job packs, arranging advertising, interviews, and induction, and liaising with as necessary
  • Lead with the preparation of strategic planning and policy reviews and be involved in committee meetings, taking, and preparing minutes
  • Lead and manage general administration duties to support and help a busy team
  • Ensuring timely replies to both internal and external enquires
  • Assist with and contribute to ad-hoc projects as required

Senior Business Support Officer Key Skills:

  • Experience in Finance and HR administration
  • A strong level of organisation and time management
  • Excellent numeracy and communication skills with an ability to engage effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Highly proficient in IT skills – the Microsoft Suite and databases and the ability to adapt to new software packages – such as Business World
