An excellent opportunity is available at Signature Recruitment for a Student Office Assistant to join our client, a leading London University on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for students and academics whilst providing administrative support for the Department.

The ideal applicant will have experience working with the virtual learning environment Blackboard and good knowledge of MS Excel. If you have excellent communication skills, a personable attitude and good attention to detail this can be the perfect opportunity for you.

Student Office Assistant Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing general student advice on central services at the University
  • Setting up online module evaluations
  • Working with a large data set using MS Excel whilst maintaining higher level of accuracy
  • Amending modules on SITS and interrogating student data
  • Collating and archiving exam papers
  • Monitoring student attendance

Student Office Assistant Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience working within the Higher Education sector
  • Strong communication skills, able to liaise confidently with people of all levels over the telephone
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Personable and friendly attitude
  • Highly IT literate including Microsoft Office specifically Microsoft Excel through using filters
