Job Description

Are you personable, proactive and organised? Do you have good administrative skills and are driven to enhance student welfare. If so, Signature Recruitment is looking for a temporary full-time Student Support Officer to work within a prestigious Higher Education establishment. This role is offered on a hybrid basis – two days in the office and three days from home.

In this position, you will work within an administrative role as part of a dedicated team focused on delivering exceptional student support and experiences. In addition, you will collaborate closely supporting high-profile projects, including student wellbeing, engagement monitoring, and retention initiatives.

Student Support Officer Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing all round administrative assistance to The Student Support Team
  • Coordinating high volume inbox and complex dairy management
  • Planning and supporting at meetings
  • Working to prioritise and triage student questions, queries and concerns via email maintaining good communication with all stakeholders
  • Organising Student Support Spreadsheet within Excel and assisting other staff with any student engagement approaches, strategies and events
  • Other ad hoc duties in order to ensure the smooth running of the department

Student Support Officer Key Skills:

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills as well as good time management skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of crafting student communications and engaging with all stakeholders effectively
  • A friendly and personable manner with an understanding of confidentiality
  • Proficient in IT skills – Microsoft 365 and good knowledge of Excel spreadsheets
