We are pleased to present an exceptional opportunity for a Programme Officer to join our Client, a prestigious London University on a temporary basis. The successful applicant would contribute to the day-to-day delivery and administrative support of undergraduate programmes, contributing to the provision of an excellent student experience.

The ideal candidate will have previous administrative experience working in a higher education setting and intermediate knowledge of MS Office package. If you possess excellent communicational, interpersonal and organizational skills, then this can be the perfect opportunity for you!

Programme Officer Key Responsibilities

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for all the Department programme-related enquiries from students and staff across the faculty and university
  • Co-ordinate the induction programme for new students, creating departmental records and assigning Personal Tutors
  • Acting as the first point of contact for students queries regarding issues affecting their studies; providing initial support and referring to other departments where required
  • Liaising with the external examiners, chasing for external examiner reports and examination paper approval as necessary
  • Scheduling meeting dates, booking rooms & catering inviting attendees, requesting agenda items, circulating agendas and distributing the minutes for Committee and Assessment Board meetings
  • Setting up and maintaining programme-related information on e-learning platforms
  • Submitting Mitigating Circumstances Forms from students, ensuring these are reviewed in a timely manner
  • Preparing materials for audits and reviews to support the quality assurance within the department

Programme Officer Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the Higher Education sector is highly desirable
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an administrative role
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good organisation with the ability to prioritise tasks and to meet deadlines
