A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client, a prestigious London University, as a Senior Programme Officer on an immediate start basis. The Senior Programme Officer will provide administrative support for two separate programmes across the Department alongside supporting the full student life cycle.

The ideal candidate will be highly organised and proactive, performing general administration duties and providing comprehensive support to Programme Directors and key figures of staff. If you are in possession of outstanding communication skills and are able to work efficiently to deadlines independently and as part of a team, this could be the position for you!

Senior Programme Officer Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the administration process for the programme, such as the assessment process in line with the university deadlines
  • Develop and improve the service, using feedback and setting up projects to implement improvements, this will include updating e-filing systems and creating instruction manuals
  • Handle and investigate low-level complaints and address setbacks
  • Updating the prospectus for a number of busy programmes to have them in accordance with the new guidelines
  • Working with different department in the university to ensure practises are up to date and using virtual learning platforms
  • Support administrative activity across the student lifecycle
  • Oversee programme timetabling, organising assessment boards, handling mitigating circumstances and marking moderation across department
  • Assisting academics and colleagues with exams scripts and general assessment queries during the busy Examination period

Senior Programme Officer Skills and Experience:

  • Higher Education experience within a programme capacity
  • Experience working within a close-knit team
  • Good organisational skills to be able to manage a demanding and varied workload
  • Highly IT literate including Microsoft Office, VLE, CRM databases and Excel
  • Excellent time management, communication skills including a strong writing style
  • 3-4 Years of Administrative experience
  • Able to take the initiative and display a proactive and dedicated attitude
  • Confident using SITs, Sharepoint and Excel
