The Bristol office was delighted to celebrate our twelfth year anniversary with a very special party hosted by The Great British Bake Off’s Briony Williams.
The evening took place at St George’s Bristol in the city centre. There were competitions and challenges that showcased our guest’s cake knowledge and baking ability, as well as a fun tasting competition to test their tastebuds.
Former secondary school teacher Briony taught Spanish and French for 6 years before she began her baking journey.
Baking was suggested to her by a fellow teacher and she fell in love with it and made it to the semi finals of the popular baking show in 2018.
Now one of the presenters of the BBC’s Escape To The Country & Food Unwrapped on Channel 4, here she is putting our guests through their paces, starting the evening with a Bake Off style quiz.
There was also a special challenge à la Bake Off, which saw each table challenged to create a Bristol-inspired structure out of cupcakes, frosting and simple tools.
We were so impressed with the level of friendly competition and ingenuity that everyone displayed, and here are a few of the clever creations, including a hot air balloon, and models of the Beacon Tower and the Clifton Suspension Bridge.
A big thank you to our Business Support Manager Chloe for organising the event, St George’s for hosting us, Imogen from Supper At The Woods for the catering, and especially to Briony for making all of our amazing tasting cakes and the incredible birthday cake below.
