Signature Recruitment has partnered with several organisations who do great work in a variety of areas that we’re passionate about helping.

Bristol WORKS is part of the Bristol Learning City Partnership and has built a unique collaboration between employers, learning providers, and local communities to develop a skilled local workforce.


WORKS originally got in touch with our Bristol branch in 2019 and we were thrilled to be given the chance to support an organisation whose so values closely align with our own

We chose to partner with WORKS because we strongly believe in supporting children in education and making sure that all young people, no matter their circumstances, have access to good job opportunities.

Works depends on the active support of local employers across all sectors who can help us make a real active difference to the lives of all of our young people

WORKS aims to remove the barriers to employers who can offer meaningful experiences of work, and so far we’ve conducted CV writing workshops and industry presentations to young people, as well as giving interview preparation advice and helping with applications for apprenticeships.

Encouraging NEET kids

Early intervention is vital to preventing young people from becoming NEET, those Not in Education, Employment, or Training (in the UK, the classification comprises people aged between 16 and 24).


Not all young people are given such opportunities. Bristol WORKS aims to raise the aspirations of young people by signposting them to work opportunities and offering specialised support.


Particular attention is given to those who face the greatest challenges in relation to learning, skills and employment.

The value of work experience & apprenticeships

The value of work experience and apprenticeships

Research shows that young adults who have had four or more experiences of work while at school are five times more likely to participate in further education, employment and training. They make an average of 16% more than their peers without work experiences.


Apprenticeships are funded from contributions made by the government and employers, which means those taking part can learn on the job student loans or tuition fees. This is an attractive proposition, with apprenticeships available in wide range of different industries from law and finance to education, marketing or IT.


The Bristol WORKS initiative increases the choices young people in Bristol have by offering meaningful experiences of work to equip future generations with the passion and skills to make positive life choices, regardless of their background, and we are happy to be a part of their mission.
